Ascomycetes of New Zealand 6. Atricordyceps harposporifera gen. et sp. nov. and its Harposporium anamorph

چکیده
Atricordyceps harposporifera gen. et sp. nov. (Clavicipitales) was found growing on the cadaver of an arthropod, possibly a millipede. An anamorph morphologically indistinguishable from Harposporium anguillulae, a nematode endoparasite, formed in cultures derived from single ascospores.

Eucalyptus microfungi known from culture. 1. Cladoriella and Fulvoflamma genera nova, with notes on some other poorly known taxa
A study of microfungi associated with living Eucalyptus leaves and leaf litter revealed several novel and interesting taxa. Cladoriella eucalypti gen. et sp. nov. is described as a Cladosporium-like genus associated with litter collected in South Africa, while Fulvoflamma eucalypti gen. et. sp. nov. is newly described from leaf litter collected in Spain. Beta-conidia are newly reported for spec...
متن کاملAquatic fungi from peat swamp palms: Phruensis brunneispora gen. et sp. nov. and its hyphomycete anamorph.
Phruensis brunneispora is a new genus and species occurring on decaying trunks of the palm Licuala longecalycata in Sirindhorn Peat Swamp Forest, Thailand. We compare the genus with other aquatic ascomycetes with falcate septate ascospores: Pseudohalonectria and Ophioceras. Ascospores differ from species in these genera in being brown with lighter end cells. Also, the ascus pore is subapical, w...
متن کاملKaurimyia gen. nov.: discovery of Apsilocephalidae (Diptera: Therevoid clade) in New Zealand
A new genus (Kaurimyia thorpei gen. et sp. nov.) of the enigmatic fly family Apsilocephalidae (Asiloidea) is described from New Zealand. Kaurimyia thorpei gen. et sp. nov. is described and figured from male and female specimens, one of which was collected in Kauri forest near Auckland (North Island). While superficially similar to Apsilocephala Kröber, this new genus shows closer affinities to ...
متن کاملA Remarkable New Family of Jurassic Insects (Neuroptera) with Primitive Wing Venation and Its Phylogenetic Position in Neuropterida
BACKGROUND Lacewings (insect order Neuroptera), known in the fossil record since the Early Permian, were most diverse in the Mesozoic. A dramatic variety of forms ranged in that time from large butterfly-like Kalligrammatidae to minute two-winged Dipteromantispidae. PRINCIPAL FINDINGS We describe the intriguing new neuropteran family Parakseneuridae fam. nov. with three new genera and 15 new ...

Three novel mite-associated basidiomycetous species are described in two new anamorph genera as Meira geulakonigii gen. nov., sp. nov. (type CBS 110052(T)=NRRL Y-27483(T)=AS 004(T)), Meira argovae sp. nov. (type CBS 110053(T)=NRRL Y-27482(T)=AS 005(T)) and Acaromyces ingoldii gen. nov., sp. nov. (type CBS 110050(T)=NRRL Y-27484(T)=AS 001(T)). Morphologically, these fungi are similar to the yeas...
